Conjutsu will require a bag check for attendees entering the convention at The Westin at Tysons. This process may slightly hold up the line, so we ask for everyone's cooperation and patience. The bag check will be conducted by Conjustu's staff members, which will have a staff badge on at all times. The purpose of the bag check is to insure there's no dangerous weapons at the convention. A list of the prohibited weapons can be found in the "Weapons at Conjustu" section.
Here at Conjutsu we provide a family friendly atmosphere and want every attendee to enjoy their time at the convention. Treat others how you would want to be treated. If you wouldn't like it done to you please don't do it to others. Any dangerous or disruptive actions will receive three verbal warnings. After receiving the three verbal warnings you will be asked to leave the convention and will not receive a refund. If you are banned and still try to cause problems you may receive criminal charges.
Some acts of dangerous or disruptive actions include but are not limited to: fighting, harassment, acts of offensive behavior, ect.
If you are taking any pictures or videos during Conjutsu please get the consent of everyone you capture in a photo or film. This rule differs from any of Conjutsu staff hired to do such please read the "Photographs and Videography Promotional Material" section.
Conjutsu's convention DOES NOT have a public announcement system, so we will not be able to page your child if he or she is lost. Conjutsu's staff will try their hardest to find a child if lost in the convention. Every child that's 12 years old and under MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.
To help prevent any children becoming lost we recommend the follow:
- Make sure the child knows the name of their parent or guardian.
- Parents or guardians please remember what your child is wearing. Taking a picture before entering Conjustu can be helpful to the staff in the event the child becomes lost.
Please be respectful to each other during the Cosplay Contest at Conjutsu. Any unwanted touching is not allowed. If any unwanted touching is reported to the Conjutsu's staff you will get up to two warnings. If the action repeats a third time you will be banned from Conjutsu without a refund. Please stay hydrated during the convention and Cosplay Contest.
Please be respectful to each other during the Dance Party at Conjutsu. Any unwanted touching is not allowed. Please stay hydrated during the Dance Party. Conjutsu is not responsible for any of your belongings. To ensure that no of your belongings is lost or stolen please keep it in a safe place.
Please let's be respectful to all of our guest that may appear. Let's remember that they are people too and can get overwhelmed. If you want a picture or autograph please ask (there may or may not be a fee associated with this request).
We all know long waits in lines can be frustrating and irritating. We ask if all attendees could conduct themselves in a respectful manner. If caught cutting the line will result in being sent to the end of the line. Attendees may not save spots in line, so please try to enter the line together to help prevent this occurrence.
All attendees at Conjutsu or other Conjutsu, LLC events are granted permission to be photographed or recorded by authorized Conjutsu, LLC individuals. By purchasing admission to Conjutsu you grant Conjutsu, LLC permission to use such images and footage for archival or promotional purposes.
There are certain 18+ vendors and panels, so please have your identification when attending the convention. You will be given a designated wristband that should be worn at all times. Conjutsu's staff will be checking identification at the door.
Any signage with offensive content is not allowed. Please remember Conjutsu is a family friendly convention and kids may be present. If Conjutsu's staff feels your sign goes against policy they will ask you to put it away clear from sight. Any failure to cooperate may result in banning from the convention without a refund.
Conjutsu is a family friendly convention, so there will be no smoking of any kind allowed at all. If you feel like you have to smoke please do so outside in a distance of 30 feet from the event and attendees in line. If any Attendees are caught smoking you will receive a warning and escorted outside of the convention.
For the safety of everyone attending Conjutsu we have the following policy for weapons.
There will be no metal weapons allowed at all in Conjutsu. Examples include, but are not limited to the following: Swords, knives, throwing stars, guns, tasers, ect.
There will be no type of chemicals or explosives allowed in Conjutsu. Examples include, but are not limited to the following: Mace, smoke bombs, smoke powder, any kind of fireworks, ect.
Any Projectile weapons are prohibited. Examples include, but are not limited to the following: Any type of air gun, sling-shot, darts, ect.
The only exceptions to this rule are for Cosplay purposes. They must be toys and nonfunctional to use as a weapon. The staff will determine if you are allowed to bring it in the convention.
You must have filled out and submitted the registration form. Every member of your group must have a attendee badge and or wristband. If you are entering the cosplay contest and you are under 18 you must have your parent or guardian present.
Characters from any published works are accepted. There will be children present please make sure your costume is appropriate, so no nudity. Body-paint costumes are not allowed. Please keep your language PG-13 appropriate on stage.
Please do not bring anything that will leave the stage a mess or shoot any kind of projectiles. If this occurs you will be disqualified and will not be able to enter the contest the following year.
